Just got DirecTV and was first disappointed that there wasn't any G4HD and then even more disappointed that it was going to be gone on Monday. I just left Dish for many reasons but one being that FX was gone for 3 weeks and we were going to lose out FOX channel also.

Oh alright. I skipped on the second dvr and just got another hd receiver and an sd receiver. The sd receiver is for a girls room who watches two hours of tv a week.

Why is it 300 to get started? Equipment fees or service?

Wow that sounds awesome. I think I'd definitely switching this week. We've had dish for 12 years so it is hard to imagine switching but losing FX made me think of the alternatives. Thanks for the help.

3 hdtvs one sd. I actually just spoke to a rep and found out that directv forces every tv to have its on receiver.

Hoping to switch to Directv soon and have a couple questions since nobody I know has Directv so I have no reference on how their receivers work or anything. Current setup is one HD-DVR and one sd receiver in the basement. The HD-DVR goes up to the main floor to a hdtv and another hdtv but only...

I assume the dish HD dish? I have a 722 hooked to two tvs and some older sd receiver hooked up to two tvs.

So I'm basically looking at an additional 7 dollars a month for the line and the price of the device either 25 shipped or 75 installed. What all is there to install? There is already a coax line going up into the room where I want the HD box.

I'll have to get registered on dish online then. As for the 211 is it best to do everything through dish or would trying to get the box outside of dish be cheaper? Edit: So I got registered and everything and it says 25 shipped/ 75 installed for the 211. What kind of other fees can I expect...
