    What was your first computer?

What was the first computer you owned? Coleco Adam (1984) and then an IBM XT Clone (1986). I was the envy of all my fellow college freshmen with my 20MB Hard drive. The real IBM XT only had a 2 floppy disk configuration. You had to go clone to get a hard drive. 2) What was the first...

First Hopper and Joey Photos posted by engadget

The document from Scherrman implies that Sling is NOT built into the hopper. Sling being buit into the Hopper was in the leaked press release from last week. Can someone at CES confirm. Is sling built into the hopper? If not does it work with the current sling adapter or do we need to get a...

And following that logic, since the Revue is no longer being made you can bet that the XIP receivers will NOT ahve suppor for the Revue either.

NTSB released it's recommendation on cell phone use while driving today.

No, I'm not being sarcastic. I beleive this is the only way to really fix this issue.

NTSB released it's recommendation on cell phone use while driving today.

These days, even the dumbest cell phones have GPS in them. GPS can be used to tell speed. Any movement vehicle or otherwise over say 10MPH should lock out texting capabiliites in all phones. No override available in any way. Put a 5 minute delay on getting it back, to keep people from...

Verizon plans to introduce new pricing plan next year

So how much cheaper will this have to be for a family of 3 using 3 unlimited data plans to make it worth while to give up the unlimited data? from me I'd need at least 5GB preferably 10GB and to save at lease $50 a month to give up my Unlimited data. Current average use is right around 4GB a...

SatelliteGuys Review: Logitech Revue with GoogleTV – A Diamond in the Rough

Mine isn't either, but it just occured to me that I need to check and make sure IR remote is turned on. The standard 922 remote is RF only.

Are these radio companies killing Rock Radio on purpose . . . Especially CBS Radio?

Hmm, I think somone has to write the Internet killed the Radio Station song. Why listen to an FM Radio station with 10 minutes of commercial in 30 minutes, traffic that isn't relelvent to you and another 10 minutes of some boring DJ yapping, when I can program what I want into Pandora or...

Full signal and responsive receiver but no video

I was experiencing a similar issue. I decided to check to see if the Logitech Review I have on that TV was having any impact so I unplugged the revue from the HDMI chain and had no issue for a week. So I plugged it back in and had the same problem within 2 days. So next I took the cheap HDMI...

Interesting that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is on that list when the new Need for Speed: The Run is out next week. Since the list is from amazon, maybe they have a large stock of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit in stock?

How to Handle 1/2 million files in XP

I understand the software only saves to one directory, but is there a reason you need to keep all the files in One Directory? If you manually archive the files to sub folders by Week or Month and that would make the base directory much more usable.

    DISHONLINE ISSUES

I found at least part of my issue with my Dish Remote access. I had parental controls setup on my router which uses an alternate DNS. Disabled the parental controls and rebooted my router and now I can see all 3 of my receivers and access the Sling Player on the 722. My 922 is still showing...

Don finally gets a win 7 computer. Not all it was cracked up to be!

Are you running the 64-Bit version of Windows 7? If you are that is for sure why your Card File program isn't working, you stated it was a 16 bit app. Quite possibly this is the same problem you are having with the older version of Quicken. 16bit applicaitons will not run on a 64bit operating...
