Disagree. Waste of time. Hooking up an A3000 directly to the TV will not solve his problem. It did not solve mine or anyone else that has this TV.

My set IS 1080p/24 and will not pass the test: Sony A3000. There are also many others who have 1080p/24 sets that will also NOT pass the test and I have L613.

Update on Sony A3000: Thought that L613 would fix this 1080p non-compatibility issue. It didn't.

The test/no test issue is NOT an issue for just L613. I am still running L612 and played around with trying to get IAL in 1080p numerous times. When I brought it up, 80% of the time it gave me the option to run the test. The rest of the time, there was no test attached to it. It seemed to...

What a bunch of hooey. OF COURSE it could be the Sony and/or operator error.:rolleyes: But lets see if L6.13 fixes this issue.

Posting complaints here "may" have changed everything. I'm not sure what the catalyst was for a "1080p fix" in L6.13, but there is the possibility that posts here as well as at dbstalks and AVS may have reached Dish devs. The fact is, is that Dish should have looked at these EDID files in...

Sure I can. They put out a product that isn't working for wayyyy tooooo many of us. If they put a disclaimer regarding their 1080p content stating that certain tv's, by brand and model number, will not work, than yes, I wouldn't be able to blame Dish.........but........they did not do...

It ain't gonna happen because most here are not that technically inclined to know how to get that data. And, I am sure that there are many who's tv's are not physically in the proximity of their computers even if they could figure out how to do it. Example. I, myself, am running on a G5 Mac...
