First question is should it be outputting 4K all the time (upscaling) or does it only change the resolutions when you are on 4K? It would be nice to have menus and the guide in 4K. Mine says 1080i. Second question is I noticed cut off on the right side of the screen. I had to manually adjust...

I got my hopper 3 at around 11:30am. So far so good. Couple of little gui bugs. It looks like cut off on the guide screen on the right. I love being able to see what is going on with each tuner.

I had planned on ordering service today, but it sound like the Hopper 3 is not getting released yet.

Question on 4k. Will 4k be like Directv and use more then on tuner? Lol I didnt even catch that, dang spell check on my Note 5.

The only one I am really giving up is Disney XD and yes I watch it with my son lol. Scott do you think Dish will launch liner 4k channels this year?

Called Dish. The sales rep will call me tomorrow morning to make an appointment. I told him I only want a Hopper 3. So he will order on the 28th since it should be in the system then.

Ok so should I switch? I really like the hopper 3 with Sling. I just wish that more channels were HD. Directv Genie Gui is getting old. Plus I hate their Genie plus Mini setup setup to get 4k.

The thing stopping me from moving to Dish from Directv is less HD channels or at least the channels I watch are not HD with Dish like they are with Directv. I hate watching SD shows on a 65 4k tv, let alone on 1080p tv, they look so bad.

So back to the question. Does Dish plan on getting rid of this SD channels. At this point at least 95% of their customers have HD channels. SD looks so bad, at least on Directv.

Well I am debating on moving to Dish as I said before. The Hopper 3 is pretty amazing. I don't care for DirecTV 4k solution. The Hr54 with needing a client (I only want one tv hooked up). I am disappointed by some of the channels I watch are not HD on dish. So how is Dish networks on demand...
