    Fuzzy picture on backfed tv

ok, I'm an idiot. I had the diplexer on one end in backwards. I say I'm an idiot, because I replaced it once with a known good one and put it back in backwards the second time as well. It's clear as a bell now! Thank you all!

    Fuzzy picture on backfed tv

Crap... I think the "backwards diplexer" may be the issue. I can't remember now if I have the SAT cable coming from the dish going into the INPUT or the SAT connection. I'll check that as soon as I get home from work. No other signals on that cable. It's a direct run from the diplexer...

    Fuzzy picture on backfed tv

After changing it to AIR ch. 21 (and changing the TV setup to AIR and adding channel 21), I get nothing; just a black screen with no picture at all.

    Fuzzy picture on backfed tv

I have a 522 receiver that is back-fed into my house cable using diplexers. If I hook a TV directly to the TV2 coax output, the picture is clear as a bell, but if I connect it to the output of the far end of the second diplexer, I get a really fuzzy picture. I've tried replacing the diplexers...

    New 722 or Not

My 722 did that a few times when I first got hooked up (a little over 16 months ago), and as yours, always either during or after restoring signal after a hard rain. I found that I had a loose barrel connection where the installer "lengthened" a piece of cable instead of running a new one that...

    DPP44 to a 1K.2 dish

Thanks for the input. I'm pretty sure I will be needing the DPP44 switch, as I do plan on adding a 4th receiver in the next few months. So, looks like I get to take my old arse up on the roof and string more cable. Woo-freakin'-hoo. If "it's not recommended" to connect a DPP44 to the 1K.2...

    DPP44 to a 1K.2 dish

Currently, I have a 1K.2 dish with a single cable (2 in total) running from the dish to a diplexed/separator receiver each. I'm trying to add a DPP44 switch in the system to add a 3rd and 4th receiver. With the single cable per receiver so far, I only have two cables coming from the dish. Do...

    Adding a 3rd receiver questions

Thanks for the links, I'll start studying... I posted from work, so I wasn't in front of the unit until now. It's not a 1000+, "system info" says it's a 1K.2.

New software turns PC into TiVo TV recorder

Um.... can you say XBMC or MythTV? Why pay for it when you can add it to an aptly equipped PC for free?

    Adding a 3rd receiver questions

Hello, first time poster here, so please bear with me... I have a "professionally" installed Dish system: Dish: 1000+ Rcvr 1: Vip722 Rcvr 2: 311 I am picked up a new ViP222 that I'd like to add to the system so I can add the two TVs in the basement area. I understand that I needed to pick up...
