great forum with quick and good responses..thanks all..I changed the tv modulator for tv2 to 25, and it cleared up the issue...upstairs is much clearer than before but not HD, and I heard this clearness is due to down-regulated HD so its alot better..

can anyone help me?

I just got a vip622 set for my downstairs HDTV..but my upstairs tv is non-hdtv...downstairs the hd is great and works as is, but for some reason upstairs every channel execpt tbs, tnt, espn (all non hd) are really fuzzy..my locals (non-hd) upstairs are all fuzzy, as if the tv was the problem...
