    Springfield/Holyoke OTA - AM21

It sounds like either the UHF part of the antenna isn't as sensitive as you need, or that it needs to be better-aimed. The actual frequencies used to broadcast digital channels usually don't correspond to the channel number advertised by the station. WFSB/WSHM's (channel 3's) digital signal...

    Looking to "move"

I know that I'm late to the thread...but do you actually have to "move" all the way to Boston? "Moving" to 06401, for example, gets you Hartford locals, Boston and New York sports regionals, and CBS/NBC/Fox out of New York. Hartford locals are on a more southerly spot than Boston locals...

    Significantly Viewed Channel Question

The results of the last time I played with the SV lookup tool can be seen in this thread: http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=62386 I haven't seen any new SV channels offered by D* in a long while.

An Afternoon Spent With the D* SV Tool

I've updated my list. It's apparently just one ZIP code that's in the Baton Rouge market, but also receives Jackson's networks via SV

An Afternoon Spent With the D* SV Tool

That's what I figured for almost all of the  -flagged stations. Unfortunately I couldn't find a smiley face that realy conveyed that message. The one possible exception for that is the PBS station added in/around Hampton Roads. It's not entirely clear to me what's up there.

An Afternoon Spent With the D* SV Tool

Inspired by the thread on SV arriving in the Hartford market, I got curious and started playing around with the SV tool on the D* website to see what could be seen. I noticed a few other SV changes that haven't been commented on here, and which don't necessarily match the FCC SV list. So, in...

hartford/new haven now has neighboring locals

Positive. Here's The List for Connecticut at the county level, with smilies indicating whether D* is making them available under SV. Fairfield :) [NYC Locals] :( WTNH-TV, 8, New Haven, CT :( WTXX, 20, Waterbury, CT Hartford :) [Hartford Locals] Litchfield :) [Hartford...

hartford/new haven now has neighboring locals

According to the FCC SV list, Hartford County wouldn't be eligible for any SV stations. Of course, from what's being observed around CT, the FCC SV list isn't necessarily being followed. For Hartford County, the leading contenders would be 22 and 40 from Springfield... and 40 would be iffy...

DirecTV to Launch Significantly Viewed DMA service

FWIW, the D* SV query page (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/see/SvChannels.jsp), which had been returning null results whenever I looked at it for the past several weeks, appears to be working once again. The only "new" SV-ness I saw while poking around last night was the expansion of WCAX, WNNE...

    ANOTHER religious channel

I can think of a few public interest channels I'd like to have before another religious channel.

Say GOODBYE to diplexers with the new MPEG-4 Five Lnb AT-9 DirecTV dish

How important is PQ in the home office? Maybe this will or won't help you, but I have a similar situation as you, where my home office is on the wrong side of the house from my dish. My better half forbade me from doing the drilling, etc. to run coax to account for this design deficiency...

    D* DMA's are crazy

I suppose that it's just too obvious to point the OP to the concept of "moving". :D

DirecTV to Launch Significantly Viewed DMA service

I have a dumb question. If the concern is that launching SV now would, in some markets, mean that D* has to go out and install a 3-sat dish to be followed shortly thereafter with a 5-sat dish... why couldn't D* adopt the policy that SV in and of itself doesn't qualify a subscriber to a...
