It sounds like either the UHF part of the antenna isn't as sensitive as you need, or that it needs to be better-aimed. The actual frequencies used to broadcast digital channels usually don't correspond to the channel number advertised by the station. WFSB/WSHM's (channel 3's) digital signal...

I know that I'm late to the thread...but do you actually have to "move" all the way to Boston? "Moving" to 06401, for example, gets you Hartford locals, Boston and New York sports regionals, and CBS/NBC/Fox out of New York. Hartford locals are on a more southerly spot than Boston locals...

That's what I figured for almost all of the :confused: -flagged stations. Unfortunately I couldn't find a smiley face that realy conveyed that message. The one possible exception for that is the PBS station added in/around Hampton Roads. It's not entirely clear to me what's up there.

According to the FCC SV list, Hartford County wouldn't be eligible for any SV stations. Of course, from what's being observed around CT, the FCC SV list isn't necessarily being followed. For Hartford County, the leading contenders would be 22 and 40 from Springfield... and 40 would be iffy...

FWIW, the D* SV query page (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/see/SvChannels.jsp), which had been returning null results whenever I looked at it for the past several weeks, appears to be working once again. The only "new" SV-ness I saw while poking around last night was the expansion of WCAX, WNNE...

How important is PQ in the home office? Maybe this will or won't help you, but I have a similar situation as you, where my home office is on the wrong side of the house from my dish. My better half forbade me from doing the drilling, etc. to run coax to account for this design deficiency...
