There IS a coax but its using Wifi instead of MoCa. Tech made it sound like MoCa not working was normal and a software update would fix it. Thanks for the heads up, I'll call tech support.

He didn't give a reason why. No matter what he tried it was "failed" the tests or wouldnt connect, but Wifi worked fine. So he went that route after assuring me it was faster.

DISH corporate CALLS ME and offers me the Hopper for FREE if I will remain a customer, schedules install DISH corporate guy says he will email me his information, never does. I call the night before the install, "no problem, its in the notes right here that the upgrade is FREE" My bill comes...

I will say this - the hopper so far is totally worth all the hassle and drama. Especially upgrading from 722/211 setup. Its gorgeous and lightning fast. Hopefully some of you get phone calls from the same people I did. I'm sure the DIRT people are awesome but two of them never even bothered to...

I didn't want to brag but I was told it would be free. I was driving at the time and asked the guy to send me an email with the info and his contact info. Never received anything, but I just called and my account is noted, phew. Hopefully they continue to make good with other customers.

I can understand this if you're a problem customer or ask for free crap all the time... But I became a "3 star" customer thanks to an installer who screwed up initial my install and faulty equipment. Absolutely AWFUL. I love how frequently this thread comes up in google searches for Hopper...

It's definitely not my credit, I'm in the low 800s. I'm guessing a thread calling them out with 10k views probably doesn't help but whatever. And it's not even the $300 that I mind (which isn't really a bad price), it's a matter of principle.
