    new six foot dish installed

So is that a true thing, that the 722 receivers are more sensitive than the 211z? Are the latest dish products even more advanced with better signal processing?

    new six foot dish installed

So I am pulling higher signals on my old 722k than I get on my new 211z, a couple transponders on 119W have 100 or 101 signals. Here are the two six footer dishes, one on 119W and one on 129W. My mom lives a couple lots away and is hooked into both dishes on about 150 feet of RG6 each. She is...

    new six foot dish installed

I decided to just put in multiple six footers instead of trying to rig up the offset LNA.... I'm not sure my wife is impressed at this point with how they look in the back yard !! Since my last dish install maybe eight years ago, I found a couple excellent resources that helped me: This...

How do the viewing areas work? How many sats should you have?

It shows in the guide though like I have them, and then when I select them it says I can't watch them. Versus something I am not subscribed to, which does not show in the guide. So if you are subscribed to International, does 118 and 119 come in on the same LNB?

How do the viewing areas work? How many sats should you have?

I guess I understand there are a couple "arcs" of satellite and I am on the western arc, 110, 119, and 129. But now I learn there is a 118, so does that imply that I'm not receiving everything I could be? Also I have channels listed which the program guide says I receive -- but it says not...

triple LNB on a six foot dish

    > because its offset the LNB's will work just fine This because the LNB can be moved further away from the dish until the signal cone is fully admitted?

triple LNB on a six foot dish

    > Yup; DP LNBs. Thanks for the reminder. > What kind of 6' dish? Prime focus or offset? All offset. > The problem with using those LNBFs are they were designed for the smaller dish. I had never considered that the open aperture of the LNBF might not admit the full signal !! That said.. my six...

triple LNB on a six foot dish

it has been a while and I do not recall, and since we tore off the plastic cases, I do not recall what they are! I have 3 (110,119,129) running into a DPP33, does that tell you what kind?

triple LNB on a six foot dish

It is not completely out of the question, but multiple six foot dishes is a pretty serious yard addition.

triple LNB on a six foot dish

I would use separate LNB. I would point the big dish at 119 (or 110) and use a side LNB for the other sat. That type of setup has worked for me for years with this smaller dish as the attached image shows. I am just not sure where to start with the placement on the big dish. I guess I will try a...

triple LNB on a six foot dish

I have an offset LNB for 110 on my 119 dish. That dish is quite a bit smaller, I wonder if I can linearly scale the measurements in a similar fashion and get ..close. How would I ever know though? Should I have a dish box and a small TV out there on an extension cord watching the "point dish"...

triple LNB on a six foot dish

Hello, long time.. no post. I am wanting to put three LNB on my six foot dish due to weak signals here in Alaska. My switch is connected to a 6 foot dish on 129 and I get signals like 75-80, and connected to a small dish on 110 and 119 and I get signals like 20-30 very typically. I can...

upgraded receiver questions, confusing dish answers

Looking online, I see rcvr #1 as VIP211K and rcvr #2 as VIP722k, is this indicative of a wrong "primary receiver" or is this meaningless.
