    Dish Anywhere...no live video control?

I stumbled on a kind of work around to stream from the hopper, at least on an iPhone. Keep the phone in portrait view, start streaming from the web, then tap the info button, then tap the play button. It will start streaming from the hopper. It works with most of the stream from web channels...

    dish anywhere

I found that if I’m watching a streaming channel and reduce the screen size from full screen, there is a button for info. After pressing it, if I press the watch button the DA will then switch over to the hopper.

    dish anywhere

I guess I’ll just have to rely on the record button and then watch on dish anywhere.

    dish anywhere

Does that allow me to turn off the streaming? On my iPhone, I have the option to filter channels that are streaming, but I’m not seeing a setting to enable/disable. I will check on my fire sticks a bit later tonight.

    dish anywhere

Is the toggle on the settings page for dish anywhere? A nice thing about the network stream is multiple devices can stream simultaneously, but sometime id like the option to pause and skip back,

Trouble Authorizing Hopper 3 Receiver Purchased on Ebay

I used to own rental property; when the renters moved out they left a DirectV DVR and receivers in the house. They had no interest in paying for shipping, or even asking us to send back to DirectV. I presume they are leased, but don’t know what DirectV’s policy on leased equipment is? If I...

Trouble Authorizing Hopper 3 Receiver Purchased on Ebay

I agree with you. In my case the eBay seller I purchased the Joey refunded my money and not bother sending it back.

Trouble Authorizing Hopper 3 Receiver Purchased on Ebay

A couple of years ago I bought a used 4k Joey that showed up (from the dish help folks) as being owned, and activated. When I reached back to the eBay seller, they put me in contact with who the registered owner was, which turned out to be a wholesaler type company. They would not remove the...

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

I got my bill via e-mail and it is 50% more than usual! The attached .pdf looks unusually confusing, with my 2-year discount falling off. What a pain in the back.

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

Plus some federal law enforcement investigators involved. With many (not all) ransomware attacks originating from 2 or 3 non-friendly countries, international agreements and such are being stressed.

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

This hack (probably ransomware attack) recently happened with Rackspace hosting, and a couple of years ago with a medical company here in San Diego. I wonder if Dish paid for their data back or had a solid restore system? It is times like this when I’m glad I got out of IT.

    hoper 3 - where is 4K ?

There is so little 4K content right now, I hardly ever check the 540 channels. I’m glad this thread mentioned the WS being shown!

Joey 2 won’t connect to Hopper Duo, via ethernet.

I believe you need service for them to link.

Dish anywhere won’t stream in HD

I had an issue several months ago similar to this. If I rebooted my wireless router (WiFi 6) I would get good quality picture until the next day. A router reboot would correct the issue. After a Hopper update (possibly a Firestick update, as well) the issue resolved itself.

    MOCA compatibility?

Thanks very much. I can isolate some of my coax for a moca leg. My broadband is cellular, and is good, usually close to 500 MBps at the router, and choking it down on a Dish moca or D* deca doesn't make sense although 100 MBps is fine for most of my streaming needs. I am discovering the spots...
