How about running it through a digital video camera as the go-between, and into the computer that way? From your description, that might do it!!

Unlike my DISH receiver, my Macs always work!!! Having said that....is there a way to get the recorded stuff onto the Macbook?

Tried that but it did not work. Any way to get the other stuff that I can still access off the DVR and onto my Macbook before DISH switches it out for me? Thanks

I recorded something last night. DVR says there is 3:23 of recording but when I click on start, it immediately goes to the end of the recording and I get the screen that has "play over" as one of the requests. DISH says there is a problem with receiver and it needs to be replaced. Two questions...

One more question..I think i know the answer already but here goes: Can I split one of the existing lines...either the one coming into the house or one of the two coming out of the separator

Ran check switch. Both satellite inputs show DPP twin with separator. For a novice like me....how do I get to the LNB. Mine says DP plus. Thanks

I am usually pretty handy with these things but not quite understanding what to do. Dish wants another $150 to do this and I'm trying to avoid the price. I have one line coming out of my dish which is then split. One runs straight to TV #2 controlled by UHF remote. 2nd line runs to a DP02...
