I read an article that E* was using the 1000.4 on all new installs. The LNBS were inter-changeable. I might have misread it.

Does the 722 have dual tuners in single mode? I like the 612 because of it's dual tuners even though it only supports one HD TV.

I have a question about equipment before I contact Dish for an install. I pretty much know I want ViP 612 for my living room and a ViP 211k (or 211z) for my son's room. Can I request these specific receivers when I can to set up my installation?

I've saw signals posted on here off the 129 in the higher 40's, Is that the norm for a signal from the 129?

One more question. Please excuse the dumb question but I've had cable for 20+ years. I've read on here that the signal off the 129 bird is kinda weak and that's where my HD locals are(Tri-Cities,TN zip code 37745). Is the numbers from that satellite better than it used to be?
