It is a Uniden Ultra. There is no model number. Says in was manufactured in 1987 (I beieve that was the date I saw).

My orignial installer called asking us to keep him in mind when and if we went with another satellite service. He was very good and gave me no problems with the install. He installed the dish where I wanted it and not where he wanted it. He even did an extra wire drop with no charge and...

Installer never hooked mine up. He was not even going to ask me about it. It was me who brought up the conversation. He said I did not need it as it was used for PPV only. So until they get the PPV I am not going to worry over it.

One of the reasons I waited so long to go to VOOM was that I would not pay $500 for the equipment. I feel the same on the DVR, give me a lease option or a very low cost to purchase. I have 3 STB and if I need to record something I am sure I have a STB and VCR available somewhere in the house...

My and son report that there were no lockups on my VOOM boxes at home for yesterday. Maybe the problem is fixed (at least for me maybe).

I live in the Dallas area and yesterday was the first lockup free day in about 5 days. And in case you do not get negative logic...I had no lockups on any 3 of my boxes yesterday.

I have been having the same problem. I just thought it was me not hitting the right button on the remote. Now I can cancel the install of the padded room. I am also in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. :shocked
