    tried two times at the regular dtv number and was denied with the story about not being able to get both the AAA and the referral. called again to the dedicated referral number and they took it no questions.

    well I must admit to feeling better now that I actually have a date. really looking forward to playing with the HMC, and sorta curious about the Tivo that the ma-in-law will have. still surprised to hear that dtv now appears to be the more popular dvr among dtv users from what I've read here...

    did ask why each time. usual answer was because the calendar would not let them. some seemed amazed that they were unable to schedule a date, and were unable to give any answer as to why. on more than one occasion I was told the issue was being elevated and I would get a call back shortly...
