That's interesting. I have the HR34, and it works like your previous receiver did. Fast forward, hit play, and it backs up a couple seconds. I like that feature. Don't know of a setting to enable that though.

Having the same problem here. I read about a red button reset, so I tried that when I got home today. Working good so far, but we'll see how long it lasts. Reset the HR34 with the red button, then let it come back up fully. Next reset each client one at a time with the red button.

Well that's interesting. So I'm not gaining anything by using the bridge, but I'm not losing anything either. LOL. Guess I could take it out and eliminate a potential point of failure.

Right, it's just not the same. 722 DVR freaks out when pausing and rewinding OTA. Direct has had local HD here for years.

So I've read that the "Genie" system does not allow you to just pause live tv from remote rooms. You have to hit record first, and then pause. Do the Joeys suffer from the same thing? Thanks for any info.

I don't think so. It's pretty much the same thing with Dish, or any other provider. Best bet, swap providers every couple of years. :)

I am shocked to hear you say it's slower than a VIP722. Mine 722 is absolutely horrible. Push a button, wait 10 seconds.
