If it hasn't been said before, receiving DirecTV signals outside of the Continental US, Alaska and Hawaii is illegal. If DirecTV finds out you are doing so, your account will be canceled and you will be liable for any early termination fees.

The only sports league that restricts access to their 24/7 channel that I'm aware of is the NBA. You either have to have the NBA League Pass, Sports Pack or Premier. The NFL Channel is available to anyone with Choice or above and the NHL channel is available to Choice Xtra/Plus DVR/Plus HD DVR...
Smaye, the HR 10 was known for having an underpowered output section that could handle SD or HD but not both at the same time. It also could only output HDMI or component, but not both. The HR2X series all have a more "robust" output section that can output on all connectors at the same time.
But one has to wonder... DirecTV starts airing the Poltergeist commercial and suddenly, all their HD DVRs are acting as if they are...
