    What's for dinner ?

my two cents: 1. take a few hotdogs or similar, warm 30 sec in the microwave, make a deep cut along but try not to completely split, insert brie or other cheese in the pockets, cook for another 60 sec or so until the brie or cheese melts, ready in a few minutes and cheap too. 2. popcorn and...

    Just Daystar and KBS-World?

Found them on 123w, so my pointing was way off...

    Just Daystar and KBS-World?

Sure, I'll check what is out there. Nice thing about SV8000HD is the ATSC tuner and PVR capability besides full HD, is there a similar receiver now also with Internet, WiFi etc? BTW, I also have 12' C-band but the HH motor broke and now is waiting to be replaced by some heavy-duty 36V linear...

    Just Daystar and KBS-World?

SV8000HD actually has DVB-S2 QUAD and 8PSK. On which bird are Daystar and KBS-World, I don't see them on Lyngsat?

    Just Daystar and KBS-World?

Several years ago I was receiving many channels from nearly all sats from 63w to 128w with my SV8000HD. A couple days ago I decided to fix the antenna possibly slightly moved from the wind (as it happened before) but cannot get anything on my home sat SatMex8 at 117w (almost exact 180 degrees...

    Help with SG2100

Found it! Burned out HF blocking capacitor in the supply line C11 that is 100 nF. Replaced C11 and R16, now the motor works again just fine. So far didn't go all the way to extract the schematics, simple check of the power supply components and a few measurements were sufficient.

    Help with SG2100

Many thanks! To me it also looked 10 Ohms, but due to the burning I wasn't sure. It's possible to fit larger resistor but I used the same size, let it serve a bit as a fuse in case some other problem is overloading it. Indeed, the new resistor burned immediately, so there is certainly some...

    Help with SG2100

My SG2100 motor lost power after less than one year use, so I have opened the housing and found resistor R16 so badly burned that I couldn't see the bar code. In a previous discussion about the relays on the control board I found some nice pictures fo this control board, but the shadow prevents...
