I noticed that I've been getting almost 50 down instead of 40 on RRLightning lately. I never see the bill, so I'm not sure if I was notified. I actually just ran 2 different speed tests (Brighthouse and Speedtest) and got 46 down and 5 up
I have noticed that the responsiveness of the dvr's seems to have reduced quite a bit. I have 3 different branded boxes in my house and at times it is painfully slow performing any tasks. I may be mis-remembering the "good old days" but many things seem markedly slower than in the past.
I have that problem pop up occasionally. Whenever it happens, I unplug and reboot the box. It seems to solve the problem for me. Anytime one of my boxes starts acting funny or slow, I unplug and reboot, and it seems to do the trick.
Ok, you're not technically "excluding" anyone that was able to use the app before. I understand that I can use a mobile browser to control my dvr remotely. An app would be infinitely more convenient. Is it really that difficult to let customers that don't pay for phone service login to the app...
Thanks for the quick response. I still think it's a bit odd to exclude people that don't pay for the phone service. Using an app would be a lot easier than using a browser on a phone. It's not a big deal at all to me, but it would be cool to be able to use an app to quickly control my dvr.
I just downloaded the app for android and was very disappointed that you must have phone and internet to use this app. Why am I not allowed to remotely control my 4 HD DVR's unless I pay for their phone service?
I used to love being able to switch back and forth between 2 channels. You could basically watch 2 shows at the same time and skip commercials that way. I'm not sure if it is a software issue, or what. My dvr will allow me to do it sometimes and sometimes it doesn't even let me rewind on a...
I'm in Palm Bay, also. I just ran 4 tests (2 on speednet and 2 on bhn speedtest) and got 35.5 to 39.5 Mbps. I have RR Lightning and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I had some problems a few weeks ago because some of the equipment in my neighborhood had been flooded from rain...
I hadn't had this problem for quite a while until I read this thread yesterday lol! Trying to watch Nat Geo Wild HD last night, I got this message repeatedly for 20 minutes (just after 10pm) and gave up.
I noticed that you could ff up to 4x instead of 3x yesterday. I have also had to change the audio coding from hdmi to dolby ac3 everytime I turn on my tv since yesterday. It's very annoying. I never had to do that before.
I just got home and turned on the game after reading your post. I'm in Palm Bay on the east coast and the picture looks great over here. Checked ESPNHD and ABCHD and they seem fine as well
It was nice while it lasted though! I added the sports pack for YESHD and watched every game for quite a while! I don't understand the appeal of YES or NESN or the other channels if you can't watch the main games they carry.
