    grounding rod

My dishs are not connected to the house ground at all. Except for the STB's electrical ground. All dish coax runs to a diseq switch, the into a grounding block which goes to its own independent grounding rod.

    grounding rod

Now you got me wondering about my setup... I have my dishes on their own grounding rod which is not connected to the house ground. Is this a bad idea?

    Can't get 72w - Other suggestions?

I think you mean 120cm. Guess I'm back in the market for another dish. I do know of a couple 4 footers, one that in 95% sure is not in use. If only I could bring myself to stop and visit these strangers LoL. I will look into 30w, I don't think I have LOS there though. I have great LOS from...

    Can't get 72w - Other suggestions?

After my problem setting elevation on my new (used) dish I have a new question. I wanted to get 72w for the nbc mux, Previously I was unable to tune it in with my 75e channel master dishes. I could only ever get a little blip on the signal strength. I recently acquired a 1m Starchoice dish...

Thanks for all your help guys. Setting the elevation with a piece of wood and angle finder on the front of the dish worked. I didn't accomplish what I set out to do... New thread :)

is history channel on amc4 ?

I never noticed any change when they switched from AMC4 to SES1. If anything I gained a very slight increase in signal. This is in Kentville, Nova Scotia. The signal for me was never great but at least it didn't get worse :)

    Help setting dish elevation

I guess I shouldn't have mounted it so high.... When it is pointed in the direction of 63w-110w I can not reach the lnb to make those adjustments. Oh well... I should mount it lower anyways. I think I might mount an circular lnb on and try to hit 72.5w. Then I can mark it, swap lnb's...
