Yesterday I was on the phone with D* protection plan dept., the rep told me that on 1/4/07 they are sending out an update that is suppose to solve the blackout & no record issues.

Any idea when they might be installing in the I-30/Bobtown area?

I was referring to a universal remote, what everyone seems to like best.

I need a general concensus on a remote that works well with *tv (TiVo), Denon 3806, Sony hgtv, etc...

Don't forget that the HR20 does not have buffers on the tuners from what I have read. The ability to toggle both tuners with the TiVo is much desired over not being able to with the HR20. I'll stick with my HR10 for now too.

If you have the 5.99 protection plan, will D* send a 10-250 to replace a defective 10-250 or will they send a HR20-700?

I just got a message on my 10-250 saying that 6.3 upgrade is available and I need to have a phone line connected. I forced a call and even unplugged the power for 20 sec., no new version yet. So, how & when will it upgrade?

I have been reading that some people have been hacking the 10-250to force the upgrade.....how is this done? still waiting on 6.3
