Yes, it is possible to use a 500+ reflector with everything else being a WA and it will work with a lot higher signal strength than you can get with the WA reflector. I have done this and I was amazed at the signals because I had never seen that strong of a signal in any kind of previous...

actually, using the proper stuff doesn't always give u the best result. that is just what the company deems more cost efficient. for instance, i have even used a 500+ reflector with a .4 skew, arm, bracket, and .4 WA and I have never seen the signal strength as high as i was able to get it doing...

Actually, that is an old trick that I and many other techs have been using when in need (like missing some part to build a 1000.2 from my van). All we needed to do was build a 1000.4 dish with the proper skew and elevation for WA, and then cut the middle tab off the end LNB bracket and a 1000.2...

The volume leveling is under Main Menu, System Setup, Audio Output. There is a spot for Volume Leveling enable/disable. It appears the software update automatically selects Enable for it. And I have to agree with one of the previous posters. I absolutely hate the new color when your guide is...
