    Setting the pole

Yes, pictures are much appreciated. More than 5 years ago, I made this base for an antenna. It was a deep hole poured with almost 1 ton of concrete. After curing, I used anchor-bolts to attach a piece of thick-walled 140mm OD pipe with 6 welded nuts on it. Now it is possible to install and...

    Setting the pole

Sure, it is better to concrete it plumb. But, unfortunately, when you hang the antenna on the plumbness will, most likely, be gone. So, I would say, it is much better to have possibility to adjust the plumbness of the pole after concrete is cured.

Installing LNB's on Primestar and Vsat KU dishes

Go to thetf\po; nearest metal shop and ask them to make new feedarms and LNB-holders. But before that, try to install 2 other antennas.

Installing LNB's on Primestar and Vsat KU dishes

You can use original collar on your Channel Master antenna (picture #2) as it can 40mm LNB. On the rest of the antennas you better rework the LNB-holders.

Installing LNB's on Primestar and Vsat KU dishes

Put aside all original feedhorns and install simple LNBF (feedhorn integrated). Much simpler solution.

OTHER Wanted to get some Feed back on LNBF

I think that there are many 1.2m dishes made with different parameters, and they will perform differently with different LNBFs. But most of the antennas in the same size will perform more or less the same with different LNBFs. If you want better performance, just use a bigger dish.

OTHER Channel Master 1.2m Focal Point

Captain Midnight Unfortunately, original CM feedarms do not give you enough freedom to freely adjust the position of the feed. That is why I have changed all the feedarms on all my CMs. I personally think that it is nearly impossible to manually find the proper position of the feed. I think the...

OTHER Channel Master 1.2m Focal Point

The measurement should be done to phase center of the feedhorn. Phase center is located inside the feedhorn, just a couple of centimeters in front of the end of the waveguide. On the attached picture, I have with the red circle (very approximate). The green circle shows the approximate location...

OTHER Channel Master 1.2m Focal Point

Captain Midnight if you have time look in THIS thread But, if in 2 words, this is not only issue of the antenna's focal point but also issue of the phase center of the feedhorn. And main target of this exercise is to get those 2 points co-located. Secondly, the feedhorn has to be pointed to...

    Feedplate ?!?

Johan! I think it is very easy to fabricate..... just make drawing and laser-cut from sheet metal.

    Bird View dish?

Of course, I may be wrong here. I wonder what is the model number of such a dish. If you guys have a possibility, please post some pictures of the back of the dish and also the picture of the stamp.

    Bird View dish?

Do you mean this one? It does not look like Channel Master antenna to me. Perhaps Prodelin.
