You are the man! It worked, yea..... Kinda, After all is said and done the switch is recognised as a SW64, the receiver finds 110, 119, odd/even. All is good, but noooo, I can see the receiver is finding channels it shows the information at the top of the screen, but the screen stays black...

I have it set up and was waiting for the download, I did a check switch and it found 119- odd/even and was locked on so I backed out of the menue and shut off the receiver. It did still show 148 & 61? when I shut it off so I may have to Clear the matrix as you say. Never heard of that till now...

I could'nt find a dual LNB but did find a complete single LNB,Dish. I think I can set it up in the garage, move it out, point it, see what happens. What do tou think?

I knew that I could check for continuity with a Volt/Ohm meter but do not know, if there is a small short, say just one wire from the shielding to the center conductor will that show up? Or would it be so small that a V/O meter may not be sensitive enough to see...

I only have 2 satellite's connected to the DPP44 and 3 receivers #1- 4000, #2-625, #3-322. I have also changed the receivers to different outputs on the switch with no change.

I knew that was a rather vague question. I am looking for something I can use to tell me if my cable has a short or open or if the fittings are causing trouble. What is a TDR? What would a Sattellite or Cable TV Tech use in the field to test cable?

Ok I'll try that, but must say, I have 2 other receivers on this switch a 625, and 322. They both work on all channels, all 4 receivers. Would'nt that suggest that the switch is working properly. The switch is new just purchased last week.

Try'd Again I went back in for some more. The receiver will find signal on 119 and recognise the DPP44 switch as a 64 switch,which is correct. But it will not find 110 and will not update software. Any more ideas? I left the receiver connected and turned off overnight no joy. I turned it on...
