You are the man! It worked, yea..... Kinda, After all is said and done the switch is recognised as a SW64, the receiver finds 110, 119, odd/even. All is good, but noooo, I can see the receiver is finding channels it shows the information at the top of the screen, but the screen stays black...

I only have 2 satellite's connected to the DPP44 and 3 receivers #1- 4000, #2-625, #3-322. I have also changed the receivers to different outputs on the switch with no change.

I knew that was a rather vague question. I am looking for something I can use to tell me if my cable has a short or open or if the fittings are causing trouble. What is a TDR? What would a Sattellite or Cable TV Tech use in the field to test cable?

Ok I'll try that, but must say, I have 2 other receivers on this switch a 625, and 322. They both work on all channels, all 4 receivers. Would'nt that suggest that the switch is working properly. The switch is new just purchased last week.

Acording to the manual it will work with a DPP44 (DishProPlus 44) thats one of the benefits of the DPP44 as opposed to the DP44.

And a DP Plus Separator? My local dealer wants to tear my head off so if I have to I'll buy online. The local distributor won't even talk to me without a dish network certification. How hard is it to get certified with dish?
