thanks for all the suggestions everyone. i think i will go with the easiest/safest/cheapest way in getting b-band converters. i can live w/o whole home dvr for now. thanks again.

i didn't realize til i read about it that you can replace the lnb. is there a disadvantage to doing this? thanks.

thanks claude. i guess w/o having to switch out the dish, it seems my only options are swm8/swm16 or b-band converters. but i read that you can't do whole home dvr with w/o swm, is this true? thanks again.
