Using a 16GB USB flash drive, the receiver stops in a middle of recording with plenty of free space.
Checked the menu options, the Record Manager and HDD Information options were dimmed out as if there is no USB flash drive connected.
Not a good workaround - switched off the receiver...
Hardrive is a 320 GB Western Digital that has been partitioned into 2 ~150 GB partitions. After connecting the hardrive, OpenBox kept re-booting itself. Had to shut off the receiver and remove the drive. Had this issue for sometime, got a new firmware from Gosatellite.com tech that did not help...
Have a Pansat 4500, OpenBox S9 and Openbox S10. With only OpenBox S9 on, readings are 13.80 and 11.92, with only Pansat on readings are 18.50 and 11.92, and with both S9 and Pansat4500 on reading are: 18.5 and 11.92.
This happened when scannnig satellites with one receiver while watching TV on another. Once the scanning ended and exited the menu, both TVs worked fine. Am able to watch the same channel concurrently on 2 TVs.
Had 2 cables coming from a dual LNB connected to 2 receivers separately, and the reception in both TVs/receivers were excellent. Then got a new receiver and hooked up all via a 3x4 multi-switch. When 2 TVs are on in different rooms, the signal to one receiver is lost until the other TV is turned...
Don't have a USB wireless adaptor nor have any network cable connected to the box, yet it has an IP assigned from my wireless network. BTW what is IMHO? TY
Network setup shows that the receiver picked up an IP from my wireless network, not sure what is it for. For instance can I get signal to a TV in basement without getting a new receiver using wireless option? If yes, how? TY
Tried blind scan (Galaxy 19), Openbox picked up about 370+ channels. Checked all did not find any new ones from 250+ Pansat 4500 picked up from the same satellite. Interestingly they were many duplicates like RT, PressTV and some others.
Thank you for the feedback, component output (Red/Green/Blue cables) is working for most channels with a few still greenish. Curious why there is no RG6 output?
Openbox HD pvr registers programs under different channels vs. Pansat 4500 with the same options set, i.e. normal scan, FTA only. For example RT is channel 6 with Pansat but channel 85 with Openbox, not very convenient to have to remember 2 set of numbers. Is this normal? Thank you.
True, am not that technical (using a/v cables). FYI called customer service 3 times for feedback and no response. Have analog TV (told this to sales when ordering), can't use HDMI and tried other resolution (576i), not supported. Here's the pic. Thank you.
