Rest NTSC mode on Octagon SF 8008

Probably send it back to Rick if the recovery flash doesn't get it going. He may know someone needing it for parts if it can't be fixed. Plus the remote control and power supply may be needed if nothing else. Could even sell it for a few bucks online.

Rest NTSC mode on Octagon SF 8008

All that holding the front power button and flipping the power switch back ON is to get to the recover menu. So try the procedure from post 23 with the remote control instead like you did before by turning ON the power switch and point the remote at the front of the receiver while pressing and...

Rest NTSC mode on Octagon SF 8008

I think the receiver when it boots into recovery menu and you see NECO on the display just press OK on remote twice it should boot into slot one and the display should change to numbers or dashes once booted. IF no picture still then I'd say hardware failure.

Well if see the Octagon logo then HDMI is set to the correct input. Black screen with NECO on the display is not normal. I don't know what it could be.

Yes when you see NECO on the display you should be seeing the recovery menu on the screen. You sure your Tv hdmi port is set? didn't get changed. Try another TV if you can.

Rest NTSC mode on Octagon SF 8008

Seems to me if you can see the octagon logo screen and a channel number on the display then it doesn't sound like the software is working properly. You will have to get in the recovery mode and boot into another multiboot slot or download and reinstall. Can't just hold the recovery button. You...

Yeah the LG Electronics LGDT 3306A is normal. Seems there may be a problem in the image of TNAP 5 that is causing the no scan. I have had that problem in the past.I don't know how to fix it myself other than upgrading or downgrading the image. The Lastest TNAP 5.1 dated 2024-07-29 has that...

TNAP images have the Hauppauge drivers pre installed. Plug in the device then full reboot and you should see the little lights on the Hauppauge light up showing it is powered. Go to the tuner menu and it should be listed as tuner C in the Mio4k+ if it is the only usb device connected.
