Apologies if this is a stupid question, but; Does Fios have HD PPV? I don't see it in the HD channel listings (I'm in Northern NJ), and I can't find a straightforward answer anywhere. My building just got wired, but, if I can't get HD PPV it's a non-starter. (Though it may be a non-starter...

I disagree. It is up to CV to simply provide any and all available HD channels, regardless of how much real HD is shown on them. Most of them have some HD gems scattered in with non-HD content. If you don't have the network at all, you don't get the good stuff that occasionally plays. TBS...

All the news announcing Fios in NYC also note that 100 HD channels will now be available on Fios in NYC markets - including parts of Long Island and Northern Jersey. Hopefully *that* fact will light a fire under Cablevision...

I assume this means it's only a matter of time before this is rolled out to all FiOS markets? Or, are there technical limitations that could delay some regions? I'm in the NY/NJ region and have been holding out switching until there was an HD PPV channel (I'm a UFC nerd), and MLB EI...

Makes sense. That seems likely to be the case if they are actually in the middle of the switched video conversion...

In north Jersey last night, some worked, some didn't. The ones that didn't (mostly the higher ones, Rave, Game, etc) had a banner displayed that said either 'Service Unavailable' or 'Service Unauthorized' (I forget which, really). So a signal is coming in - just seems like the channels are...

I mean, seriously, are we supposed to be exicted about this? With all the HD (and channels in general) that Cablevision is missing, the Hallmark channel is a priority? Whatever. Flame me all you want, but, this is not the channel addition news that I (or likely anyone else) has been waiting for.

I'm all for more HD, and this is great (or, WILL be great once the whole suite of HBO is added), but, I second (third?) the notion that this is not what the people are waiting for. Give the people the cable networks in HD that are missing. I know that FiOS is the benchmark that Cablevision...

Let's see... DirecTV is offering the following; DIRECTV: Superior HD Programming - All HD Channels Which, by a quick count, is ~40 more than CV offers. Don't hold your breath. DirecTV subscribers can probably expect to get it... not us. Plus, if Fuse comes in before some of the ~40...

Nice! The Gatorade Duel will be on in HD tomorrow. Oh, wait, we have Cablevision, who doesn't carry Speed HD. Nevermind.

i'm glad you're all taking time out to bash my list... that wasn't exactly the point of this thread. the point is; these are channels that are ALREADY OFFERED on providers other then Cablevision - when are we going to be getting them? i KNOW that these networks don't have great programming...

Except all the live/original MMA events that they show now, for all of us MMA/UFC fight nerds.
