Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

Probably would not have to go as high as congress.. the FCC already "gives" the networks the airways for free, they do have to pay some fees but not a direct user rate. It would seem that them selling something that is already given to them should not truly be allowed. No question about it...

At which point, many of us would simply change our provider... ;) Wayne Sagar

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

82% sounds like a lot, until you think of it being 82/100's of a penny... or, less than $.30 per month.. so, that's going to give someone the bright idea of increasing our entire bill by 82%? This whole thing is BS laden upon BS from both sides! Comon folks.. Dish charges.. what... about...

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

Certainly seems like a fair price to me.. Wonder what Fish is actually asking?? Even though one would wonder why a "broadcast" station would care a wit if someone rebroadcast their signal, thereby, gaining their audience numbers.. but.. If disputed fees are in that range, I can't see how $.30...

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

It's almost like a guy selling hot dogs from a cart.. he's got a sign up that says... "Hot Dogs 50 cents..." but the problem is, he don't have no dogs on board the cart. Seems he's got a problem with his supplier. Something like a reselling copyright issue over the term "hot dog" so he ain't got...

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

just to clarify, I did not mean to question whether Scott was telling the truth, my question was directed at discerning if Fish or Dish is being completely honest here... :tux:

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

This is the kind of crap that galls me about the Internet and chatboards.. where in the world do you get "questioning Scott's integrity" out of what I asked? Last time I looked out the door, I was still in America and being able to question statements made by ANYONE is still part of "truth...

And you know this for absolute fact, how? Not trying to be a smart a**, just trying to figure out who's telling who the truth here.. Wayne Sagar Great White North

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

**Sigh** So, who's telling the truth? Fisher? Charlie? If Dish owes a mill, why won't they pay it? Contract is a contract.. Though, I don't understand the rebrodcast issue at all, it would seem that Charlie's claim tht Fisher is being unreasonable is a bunch of crap given they have managed to...

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

It's all about ratings Any station which blocks retransmission of their signals to homes are simply being downright stupid. TV stations make their money by ad $$ and the rates they charge are based on how many people are watching at a given time.. How many 1000's of homes are missing from...

No Fox News HD in Turbo HD only!?

Kind of sounds like they are rethinking Turbo HD and would like us to become dissatisfied with it and change to some other package that would cost more. The ONLY reason I went with Dish unstead of Direct was Turbo HD.... This is completely off the unreasonable chart IMHO... Bad Dish...

No Fox News HD in Turbo HD only!?

When I signed up, I was told that "any new non preimum HD offerings would automatically be included in the THD Gold package... Surprising that they would NOT include HD version if available.. maybe they forgot to pay the bill?
