    NBA LEAGUE PASS in HD???

It's getting better. First couple weeks, tons of missing HD games. Now the consistency is improving. The only bad thing is sometimes a game is broadcast by one station in SD and one station in HD and we get the SD version, probably for some dumb contractual reason. But as I said, it's gotten...

Are you satisfied with NBA League Pass?

I'm more bothered by the schizophrenic nature of the NBA HD channels. It's hard to tell what's in HD. Sometimes the list seems to be wrong, and sometimes channels that aren't "game-only" are clearly operating on a game-only basis. But if the game isn't in HD on either of the RSNs, then that's...

    Fsn Hd

This keeps happening. Every single Laker game, the game starts out in SD and then suddenly switches to HD at some point. FSN HD West is supposed to be a permanent national channel, so this is just goofy. I don't know who is at fault, but it's very very frustrating. I've been watching Laker...

FSN West HD mysteriously not broadcasting in HD

And of course, as soon as I post this, FSN West HD mysteriously turns back into HD (a much nicer HD than the channel 95 HD). Very weird.

FSN West HD mysteriously not broadcasting in HD

Okay, sorry to bump an old thread, but I thought it better than making a new one. This is happening again. FSN West HD at my place, no HD on directv. At my parents house on Time Warner, HD. Luckily tonight is also on channel 95 in HD, but it's a very ugly broadcast with a lot of artifacting...

DIRECTV Adds 23 More HD Channels

Awesome. The HD listings are still very shaky though. There was a game in HD tonight that wasn't listed on the NBA-1 channels and there was one listed as in HD on the NBA-1 channels (new jersey vs orlando) that wasn't in HD. Oh well, I guess they're still working the kinks out.

DIRECTV Adds 23 More HD Channels

Hmmmm, just checked and FSN Bay Area isn't in HD down here in LA. Are these new RSNs not national channels? Errr, I mean, I know they're game-only, but there was a Warriors Pistons game so ... Hmm, I wonder if it's something dumb like the SD game was the Pistons broadcast so they didn't do the...

DIRECTV Adds 23 More HD Channels

Oh my goodness. Did they really launch all those RSNs? I thought they were running out of space. I'd already resigned myself to only getting a few more NBA games in HD this year, but if that list is real ... wow man, time to swap out the downstairs tivo and get another hr20.

FSN West HD mysteriously not broadcasting in HD

Weird. Hopefully this was just a bug in the system. I don't want to drive over to my parents' place every time I want to watch a game in HD.

FSN West HD mysteriously not broadcasting in HD

Yeah but that's on your cable box right? My issue is with Directv not broadcasting HD on a permanent HD channel. Makes me think their channel launch was a lie and they're moving bandwidth around on a need-to-need basis.

FSN West HD mysteriously not broadcasting in HD

So I was curious why the Lakers game wasn't in HD seeing as how FSN West HD and FSN Prime Ticket are now permanent, national HD channels. Then I go to my folks place and turn on their Time Warner cable box and there's the game on FSN broadcasting in HD. What the hell? Why even carry FSN West HD...

    Pbs Hd?

Well FIOS is more analogous to local cable. In fact, I think they even offer a package that's just local analog channels wherever you are. They don't have to carry everything nationally, they can break it up area by area, town by town. So it's just not a big issue for them because they operate...

Still waiting for your RSN in HD? This info seems accurate.

I know that Versus is doing HD. Maybe not every game, but I've watched at least two Pac-10 games in HD on it in the past few weeks.

Still waiting for your RSN in HD? This info seems accurate.

To answer my own question: it was in HD and it looked pretty good. So at the very least all Laker road games will be available in HD, though I'm sure that's of little comfort to those whose own teams aren't available.

Still a lot of RSNs to catch up on.
