    Flex

If I sign up for the Dish Flex pack, is it still $29.99 after auto pay discount or is it now $34.99 for new customers? Also, do new customers signing up for Flex get the $5 DVR discount? I asked Dish sales and was told they can't tell me any pricing until I give up my social security number!?!?!?!

    Flex pack

Is flex pack still available for new customers? If so, can you get it with the $10 monthly hopper 3 price promo? Also, I notice all the current promos are set to expire in two days. Anyone know of anything new in terms of offers starting later this week? Should I start now or in three days?

    Local installer options

I am on the HOA board for a condo complex with six buildings in Long Beach, California. We have been very relaxed about letting satellite dishes on our roofs. We have 82 units, and at this point there are 60 dishes on the roofs (at least four of which are not being used by anyone with no...

    New directv customer

Isn't this the same as selecting first run in the recording options? My issue is when a show has a repeat but does not list true guide data. IE - some repeats of shows like The Daily Show where it sometimes but not always just has a generic description of "A humorous slant on top news stories"...

    New directv customer

New first time DirecTV customer here. Previously had OTA for about a year with a TiVo - prior to that had Verizon FIOS and before that Dish. Signed up on Costco.com for the $300 cash card offer with the Select All In $50 package with a Genie and one mini genie. Price stays the same for 24...

If Sling TV had a true DVR option I'd get it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, Live TV with some time shifting options at the whim of the broadcaster does not interest me nearly as much.

Thanks -- just have to decide if I want to commit to two years of Pay TV (I "cut the cord" several years ago and have just OTA with a Tivo Premiere lifetime subscription and Netflix right now). There are some shows I'd like to be able to watch on Discovery, Travel Channel, etc. but I'm now...

    Returning customer

Looks like they still offer the package, but price it to be just as expensive as the Top 120+ for a new customer as they don't have any "promotional" offers for it. So if you really want it, you could get it -- but they won't market it to a new customer at a promotional rate for the first year...

    Returning customer

It's been a few years but thinking of returning back to Dish -- I'm pretty impressed with the Hopper 3 even compared to my Tivo. From what I'm seeing, though, the only cost effective way to come back is with the Top 120+ three year deal which is $49.99 plus another $15 for the Hopper 3. I...

    Come Back to DISH Emails

I quit Dish about a year ago to cut the cord, but get these emails along with *three* physically mailed copies every third day or so.

Error code 890-Wrong connection for SyFy, other channels

I believe the OP said that the second TV (connected with HDMI) was turned *OFF* when he gets this message on the primary tv (connected with Component / RGB cables). This would be correct behavior. If the second TV is connected with HDMI but turned of, it isn't capable of reporting back to...

    DISH Price Increase 1/17/2013 (UPDATED!)

Wow.... satellite and cable TV are getting way too rich for me.... :( After looking at what programming I watch, I initially downgraded from the Top 200 package to the Welcome Pack about seven months ago. Then, I discovered I really wasn't watching much more besides my local stations and The...

    DISH Price Increase 1/17/2013 (UPDATED!)

When did you become a customer? Am I wrong in my understanding that you only get the price protection credit if you were a new customer ("activated service") in 2012 - 2013? If so, and you've been a customer for longer than that, you don't get a price protection credit at all even if you change...

    Couldn't receive locals traveling

Someone correct my description if it isn't technically correct.... but to answer the OP... Locals are broadcast on a "spotbeam", which only have enough signal strength to cover a small portion of the United States. So, if you live in Las Vegas, for example, the spotbeam that those locals...
