I just finished my first year of service today, and my new (more expensive) bill comes out tomorrow. I called DirecTv about Free HD access, and after checking I had autopay, they gave it to with no problems. That will certainly help take some of the sting out of this upcoming bill. :)

It was nice of DirecTv to call me yesterday to let me know they screwed up and that my credits had been put back. It was an automated call, but better than nothing. ;)

I had it happen to me today. I signed up in January, and lost all my rebates for July. I did call customer service, and they said it was a problem in the system (so it likely happened to a lot of customers). They assured me it would be corrected soon, though I won't really see the discount...

I tried two times to get the credit, and was denied each time. I signed up in January this year with the Choice HD Xtra + DVR programming. One CSR said I would have to drop that package and one just said that I wasn't eligible at this time. (and I do have autopay) Since I am still have 6...

In a lockout, the owners are not letting anyone play. In a strike, the owners could get replacements again to play.

I looked at my account online, and this is the message I get when trying to remove the free promotion: To remove this premium channel, please call 1-800-531-5000 and ask to remove this channel when prompted.

I had DirecTv installed about 2 weeks ago. I just received a letter from them saying that I will be getting the $100 gift card in about 90 days from the install. It looks like the two requirements are auto-pay and have the service for 60 days.

One thing that is different from cable on-demand and DirecTv on-demand is that the movie gets stored on the DVR for DirecTv. It does expire, but the expiration date is several weeks in the future.

Take away the $10 for Platinum, and it will be. From what I have read, that is going away on Aug. 1.

Those were the names of the old HD packages before the metallic names. Essential was the $10 package and Ultimate was the $20 package.

Dish certainly picked a good time to start showing Peachtree games. I haven't been watching much Braves this year because they haven't been that good, and they have seemed to show more games that I couldn't get than I could. But these last three games have been a lot of fun for Braves fans...

All of South Carolina is Braves territory. So it is blacked out for ESPN and TBS games. Tennesse is Braves territory too, so I have the same problem.

It is a pain for satellite users in SEC country. I was disappointed I couldn't watch the SEC baseball tournement because it was on CSS exclusively. I am worried that since Vandy isn't one of the bigger teams in the league, some of their games will drop to this channel.
