i might be the minority but my picture quality deteriorated when i moved from my old 510 to the new 622. the picture quality looked much better when i was watching with my old s-video connection compared to the hdmi cable i use now.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. i would have agreed with you 100% about the SXRD being the best for SD when i was watching on my 508 but now i just cant say that anymore. somtimes i wonder if i was better off not knowing what my TV was capable off than to live with an inferior...

if the type of tv is a factor its a Sony 60" Grand WEGA SXRD Widescreen TV. i tried to connect the 622 with a s-video cable just to see how the quality will look but it still looks way worse than it did on the 508.

they will stay, same thing happened to me when i first got installed but over time all of them showed up.

i used to have the 508 reciver connected to my tv through a regular s-video cable, and when i got the 622 installed and connected with a hdmi cable, i was expecting atleast a slight improvement in picture quality for all my channels, but instead my picture quality has deteriorated from before...
