Just back after five days away...Dish is in Santa Maria CA...The Satellite "wobble" theory and seasonal flux seems to make sense...late mornings and afternoons are HD-less but they start to show up around 5:30pm so it works for me....I won't need a larger reflector as I don't watch much Local TV...

I have LA Locals in SD (8000-8021) but not HD...Today I found that LA major Locals HD (6000-6017) were now active in HD for me. I am about 175 mi N of LA and have always subscribed to locals, if only SD, now I get HD, which were cut off when Dish went Spotbeam. Has the Spotbeam radius been expanded?

It is not HD quality, but if anyone uses a Roku box as an adjunct to their DISH and OTA, you will find the BBC World News channel...in real time, 24X7.

I too wanted the Beeb World News channel. I ran across it as a free channel on my Roku box. I'd rather have it on Dish as part of the news programming but in the mean time....

Roku offers MLB.com...stream it on your flat screen...worked well this season.

BBCA Went to 9450 for BBCA HD...It was "Red Out" (Call to subscribe)....had to call Dish as I am on AT250 +HD... The tech said he would correct it in 10-15 min...Plus he said Dish will remove the $10 HD fee...Now that is good news.:)

The Charlie Chat last night should have been on ESPN.... Very self-promotional of sports but not informational about DISH's plans for the majority of the rest of us who already get lots of sports with our monthly payments. Wanted to hear more specific info on Nat HD and the new Satellite.
