My programming online shows DISH Platinum - Free 12 Mo. Dish America (34.99) and DVR Service fee (6.00) for a total of 40.99. When I confirmed the switch, it showed that I was getting a credit of 10/Mo so I'll see if I get that when I receive my bill next month.

I called and talked to a CSR this afternoon. He verified that indeed if I used DISH'N It Up to upgrade to the 722 that I would no longer have to pay the $7.00 lease fee. The price that he quoted me for the upgrade was $125.00. I was hoping for $75.00 so I told him I'd think about it.

Did you have to call a CSR to do this, or did you do it online? I may have to do this as well. I looked online, and the Terms of the HD DVR still showed a monthly equipment rental fee of $7.00 for HD receivers.

I just cut and pasted the court comment from an article I found after doing a google search on dishnetwork and voom.

The court said Voom failed to show that it satisfied the spending requirement in the affiliation agreement. That opened the door to remove the VOOM channels, which they did shortly afterwards.

My wife says that we've always been paying this each month. I thought I remember paying $200 to upgrade from my 211 to the 622 with a 2 year commitment. Would that have been including a $7.00 lease fee? Doesn't seem right.

Just got my first bill after switching to the HD Only package. Should I be getting charged $7.00 for a Leased Receiver Fee?
