has anyone tryed to use a ir remote sender for any of the newer directv recievers... my uncle has an d11 and a h20 that are in a closet in a different room from the tvs ive tryed 2 different brands of wired senders but neither have worked i can get him a rf remote for the h20 but not for the d11...

use the 8.0 for tuner 2 and move the switch in side of the 6.3 thats for the tuner 2 and it will work with tuner one. when the switch is in the correct place cut a slot in one of the extra tabs to hold the switch in place and it will be good to go. thats how i have my 622 set up

the remote #1 is ir only... i had an older uhf remote i think its an 8.0 that i made work the tuner 2 side because it doesnt need anything special and i took the remote that was for tuner 2 and flipped the switch where the tab is to make it work tuner 1 and i used the solid insert from the 8.0...
