    $299 HD-DVR w/ $100 rebate

Unfortunately for me, I had to cancel my order. I borrowed an HD-TIVO and couldn't get consistant signal lock on the OTA channels with my current antenna setup. If I used a pre-amp I could get the weaker channels, but the higher ones would jump around too much to lock (I read that others had...

    $299 HD-DVR w/ $100 rebate

Awesome! I'm a new customer, and after playing CSR roulette for a bit, I finally got some satisfaction! I had to sign-up for service and get an installation date/account number, and THEN call customer retention to get the hd-dvr. They couldn't order one for me now, but the CSR noted on my...

    Some questions about switching

I'm thinking about switching to D* from E*. I really want an HD DVR, and if I'm going to have to buy one, I'd much rather not have to pay a lease fee too :) I'd like to get both an HD and regular tivo. And, a new dish. My current setup is a Dish 500 twin and a 61.5 sat, which means I have...

Why should I stay with Dish Network and not go with Comcast?

Where are you that you get that deal? I'm in Atlanta, and the best they would offer me was $55.99 for all of that.

    D* Satellite Launch Info

I've seen a lot about "upgrading current customers" to MPEG-4, but I haven't seen anything about getting new customers onto that standard (I probably just missed it...). Has anyone heard anything about when/if new customers will be able to get the same equipment? I'm current a E* customer...

    E* to start donwrezzing??

I don't think it'll work on older receivers being receivers that don't have the Broadcast Flag built into it. Say I go out and buy an OTA receiver now (non-E*) that doesn't have the BF functionality built into it...The only way I can think of that the local stations would be able to keep me...

811--Just ordered my receiver from DISH for $149

Actually, it's the other way around Component splits the color output/input into separate wires. RGB (aka composite video or RCA video) has all of the video signal over one wire. Edit: I've just been told RGB is also another name for the 15-pin VGA connector.

FLASH: Dish 811 now $199 for Existing Customers!

Just got off the phone with them... ...and the CSR said that they were having a special that started tomorrow, and she couldn't give me any information until tomorrow about it. So, I guess I'll call back tomorrow...
