1) I honestly don't know as I haven't yet traveled out of my local channel market yet. 2) I have seen that only when I go to enter a live channel and I select 'start from the beginning' instead of 'join live'. If I join live I can watch that same channel for days.

Fair point but I do not use, nor have I or any member of my family ever used that feature so there is no loss there.

I'm struggling with similar issues with Dish vs YouTube TV notably - That said - I'm sucking it up because I'm looking at $70 per month in savings. All of my TVs are all Roku TVs so I already have native support for all the major streaming services built in. Cost: Dish $120 vs YouTube TV$50...

Look like I discovered the specific procedure to make this work: After you complete a rescan and you've removed the channels you don't want, click 'select all' then click save. It would appear that only the 'selected' channels will be saved.

I've had a consistent problem since I installed my H3 with OTA: I am unable to delete any channels that have been scanned in. I select either all channels or one individual channel and select delete, then save but when I go back in to the OTA menu, the channel(s) are back. I've even tried...

I've noticed an annoying bug with H3 and OTA: I'm unable to delete or modify the scanned channel list. Put another way: The system won't let me delete any channels that are scanned.

Update on mine: the OTA module never did start working. Chatted with Dish and they are shipping me a replacement.
