Sure you could but if you know apriori that this is happening, then you are committing fraud by trying to keep property that you do not own. I am not sure the credit card company would go along with this.

I have been billed $400 for the box and have been trying to get them to de-install for 3 months. They have missed all five appointment and I have stayed home from work. You will be out of peace of mind and maybe $400 along with a big hassle.
