    Chrome DishAnywhere SlingPlayer Extension

Sling technology is used for dishanywhere but it is not sling. Sling on a Chromebook probably works but dishanywhere on a Chromebook does not work, yet. You can use remote desktop between 2 machines with the Chrome browser running and the host is a PC or Apple device connected to Dishanywhere...

    Chrome DishAnywhere SlingPlayer Extension

The Chrome OS in a Chromebook has no software for dishanywhere. The extension in the Chrome browser only works in the Wintel and Apple machines. Internet Explorer 11 with the sling add-on needed for Wintel if Chrome browser not to be used. Android and iDevice apps work fine for dishanywhere.

    Dish Anywhere Issues Here

There is no extension or app for the Chrome OS used in a Chromebook. You must run Chrome remote desktop app in the Chrome browser on a PC that has been already proven to work with DISHANYWHERE. Set the sound to stereo ONLY. Anything else and there will be NO SOUND sent from the PC via remote...

    HMDI not working

The connectors for both the 211 and the 722 are frighteningly fragile. I've had to replace RCVRs because the weight of the HDMI cable, without the use of a downward pointing 90 angle adapter that I now have on both, damaged the internal connectors. Some cheap 90 degree angle adapters don't work...

    HBO went out...any others?

Lost all signal on 72, 77, 62.5. Came back while I was running around ready to blame either the dog or the cat, checking all the cables and connections.

    RG 59 Problem and need a pro's opinion !!

Geez. I use RG214 to get the signal from the antenna/amp tree on my shed, underground, through my basement, up to a splitter amp/distribution system. A whole 150 feet. If your not familiar with this cable, its 75 Ohm the diameter of your upper index finger. About 2db loss at 900Mhz at 150 feet.

Split Second Signal Dropouts Every 10 Minutes - Help

Same symptoms as with my VIP211 summer 2012. After triple-checking everything, it was the rcvr. Swapped it out and no problems ever since. The ~$7/month fee is worth it having had to swap out at least 1 rcvr every year or 2.

Dish adds Glenn Beck's The Blaze to its Top 250 Package

Good thing you have a choice to not tune to it. On a technical note, at least its broadcast in 16:9 picture geometry even if it is low rez. If/when it takes off TheBlaze and MercuryOne will buy an HD slot. It's all about capitalism, supply and demand so we'll see. I do hope this thread...

One single Christmas Gift From Dish.

Keyboard and mouse use in the menus through the USB port Blockbuster is too remote intensive to navigate, so I rarely do. So that's the plan. Collect $10/Mo and no one uses the svc. Edit: ESPNU in HD!!

Rain*X on your dish and LNB ?

Anyone ever try Scotchgard? I've seen water (sweat) ejected from military uniforms in the FL heat during inspections and those eternal change-of-command ceremonies. It's sprayed heavily on the INSIDE of the uniforms. The uniforms never appear with sweat spotting.

Charlie and Joe Speak on NY Sports

This all started over 30 years ago when boxing went from major network events to pay-per-view. Everyone used to talk about boxing when they were always on the networks. Now they're a elite sect of semi-sports no one cares about. This is where teams that choose pay-per-view-like channels to...
