Actually just called again, they put in the notes on my account not to enable MVR because of my R22. So now it doesnt matter how many times i call CS they look at the notes and dont even try. It just amazes me that it is so difficult to activate after working flawlessly on the beta

I have been trying to get MVR enabled without success. I did the beta with my wired network and it worked just fine. The first problem was that i had an old plan, changed that. Now the problem is that one of my receivers is an R22 and they tell me it the system wont let them add MVR because...

I upgraded my sd receiver to a dvr and bought it through best buy. It was on a shelf marked as $70 and they honored the price. Plus saved paying for to get it installed.

I think i have a 522 right now with the 250 programing. I think i didnt have to pay a dvr fee because i have it set up to my phone line. At least iv never seen it on my bill. I can understand $5 fee for additional dvr but 5.95 on to of that i cant justify the expense with as little as ill use it.

Im hoping that i just got someone that didnt know what they are talking about when i called customer service. They said it would be an extra $11 a month to add a dvr that i already own to my service, $5 additional dvr fee plus $5.95 dvr fee. That doesnt sound right to me, i dont even think i...

one more thing, i just called for a reschedule and its going to be over a week before they can come. Will they let me install this myself? I positive i could do it and if i ran into any problems i have a friend whos dad used to work for echostar designing stuff.

cool thanks for the replies. =) ya the cable will be buried, ill probably just do it myself. Also will there be more than one cable run between the dish and my home?

what kind of cable is this and are they standard so i can just pick one up somewhere? Dish installer said i needed one to get around some trees and they charge $100 for 100ft which seemed kind of expensive. oh and im going to have a dvr box and the 250 channel package Thanks for the help
