That problem occurs with multiple Genie clients on a Genie server in a home installation. Open floor plans create the problem. The only way I have found to solve it is HDMI splitters.

If you acquire a C71KW-400 that has been configured for use as a Satellite client, you need to reset it to factory settings by holding the red button down for at least 20 seconds.

I am a satellite customer, so I don't have the experience to answer your question. However, I just wanted to comment that I have heard that the Gemini Air has a more powerful processor than the original C71KW.
