This thread is to discuss the Genie Server (HR44, HR54, and HS17) software customer releases. While there is extensive discussions of the development of the software in the Cutting Edge forums as the software is refined, little is published about the software changes as it is released to regular customers. Those who have not signed the NDA and are not Cutting Edge testers don't see the discussions of new features.
It is pointless to go back very far in history now. And our Cutting Edge members are prohibited from disclosing anything about software that is still in development, or anything they have learned in the testing process. My remarks here will be limited to what DirecTV allows me to disclose. Those of you who get these releases as regular customer releases are free to discuss them here.
0x1D0A (25r3) was released to customers in December 2025.
0x1D21 (25r3.1) is rolling out to customers now in February. They have completed the rollout for some models as of today (Feb 25, 2026) and will probably be complete for all by the end of February. It is a refinement of 0x1d0A, with no user interface changes.
