    U-Verse Internet, Good?

Tried to stream VUDU at 4.75-6Mbs Speed test 1-1.5Mbs. Was paying for 12Mbs. Complained. Seemed to be mostly corrected although during primetime it was sometimes under 4Mbs. a year later I moved Moved to 18Mbs. Last weekend tried to stream Cowboys and Aliens. Had to watch the last 20...

    Review: AT&T U-VERSE

I had a similar issue, in that my home security system won't function with ATT IP phone. The rep said that if I had land line phone from ATT it would not affect TV/Internet price. I asked for a install (it was ATT land line before and shouldn't require anything other than throwing a switch)...

Can I upgrade my VIP 622 to 722 without a new contract?

What is interesting about the article is the author is writing about a Motorola STB. Most Cisco, Motorola, and Directv boxes are Energy Star rated that tops out at slightly under 30Watts. Yes we have no bananas (or Echostar receivers).:D

less than 4 weeks to end

1 year committment. The good 1000 things. The bad no 3D selection with 1 channel at 10 bucks. That, for me is an 800 pound gorilla.:D

Cinemax and HBO have been added

I may be wrong, didn't Dish allow for attrition to take care of most of the non MPEG2 receivers, so that Dish bore minimul costs in switch to H.264? I don't seem to remember a cost to subscribers for that shift. H.264 has been around several years and surely Direct has been dealing with a...

Home Theater Reviews Vizio Passive 3D HDTV

Outside the US, many countries use active shutter for movies. 3D glasses will be less than $75 with rechargeable batteries, this year.:D Would a Sony 40EX720 at under 1200 be worth it compared to a passive 3D VisioTV?:D

Home Theater Reviews Vizio Passive 3D HDTV

At one half the vertical and horizontal info =960x540=518,400 pieces of info vs. 1920x1080=2,073,600 full 1080p thats about a 75% loss in image info. Haven't read the article. I'm sure it mentions flicker free (no shutter) many of the modern active shutter sets eliminate that issue. Vertical...

HD Bitrate is under 5 Mb/s for most channels - is this correct?

For those complaing about bitrate. I would be more likely complain about video/audio quality. As technology atvances, I'm not sure the 2 are as connected as one might assume. My example would be VUDUs excellent streaming quality at 1080p (even sequential 3D) at 4.75 to 6 Megabits/sec.:D

    3NET (3DNET) channel

That means BluRay and VUDU are the only games in town.:D It would be nice if the bandwidth were unlimited. Will Google fiber help? Will they offer programming?

    3NET (3DNET) channel

Doesn't Top/Bottom Side by side reduce the number pixels vertically or horizentally? Anyway I'm caving in Directv appears to be the only game in town for 3D and my HX800 and I are getting older.:D

    3NET (3DNET) channel

I've been watching VUDU and, when working, PSN. Both deliver 3D in Sequential mode and full 1080p. Even my simulated 3D looks good on a lot of VUDU's 2D 1080ps and the 3D stuff is amazing.:D
