I've been thinking about buying a capture card and use my PC as a DVR. My receiver is a vip22k. The only trouble i see with this is when the receiver does a time out (when it's received no activity) and goes to the black screen with the dish logo bouncing around. Is there anyway around that or...

It will be out doors mounted to the same pole that my dish sat is on if possible. I used antennaweb and it says i need a Medium Directional Antenna with pre-amp. My zipcode is 22827 Im after ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX football season is going to start soon :) I would relocate the antenna if need...
