Is it just me or is anyone else in the Austin area experiencing trouble with the OTA signal for Fox 7 (7.1 KTBC-DT)? I've never had a problem receiving it before, but I'm thinking maybe the storms rolling through town all day today knocked the signal out?

Wow, look at all those MPEG2 SD channels. Wouldn't they have significantly more bandwidth to use for new MPEG4 HD channels if they were to convert these to MPEG4 SD?

Yeah, it upsets me to no end that I have to pay $5 extra to get the guide data for OTA channels. :mad:

I've decided. When the DirecTV HDPC20 is released to purchase, I'm switching from DISH to DirecTV - I have a powerful PC with Vista Home Premium, and I could use my Xbox 360 as my set-top box. I'd get two of them and then have a 4-tuner centralized DVR, which I can use from any TV in the house...

My ultimate wishlist: * Central 4-tuner (plus OTA) HD DVR receiver that can distribute media to dumb-term receivers via ethernet with built-in Slingbox and media server capabilities and record 4 satellite HD + 1 OTA HD programs at one time * Convert all SD channels to MPEG4 * Convert...
