    New Beta: DirecTV TVApps

Has anyone else noticed a jittery picture after this beta was introduced? Or is that a symptom of the latest software that was released? Either way, my picture stutters every few seconds, though it comes and goes.

Media Share that works with .mpg and divx

I highly recommend Tversity. According to their site, the software supports the HR20, so it is probably worth a shot.

    Last & Next Movie Watched

Last: The Shawshank Redemption--finally got around to watching it after getting it from Amazon via pre-order. Beautiful PQ and excellent AQ for what there is. Next: Blade Runner (not sure which one!) or No Country For Old Men

Last & Next HD DVD Watched

Can't remember the last one I watched, but I received my order from iNet today consisting of the following HD-DVDs: Anchorman, Mission Impossible - Ultimate Missions Collection box set, and The Mummy. Also got a BD - No Country for Old Men. I love iNet's sales!

DirecTV to add 44 HD local markets (Updated with Launch Schedule)

I couldn't believe it when I saw it! Thought we weren't scheduled to get them until late Sept./early Oct., not that I'm complaining! :) Is there something I have to do to get them to show up in my guide again? I can go directly to each channel by entering the number, but they aren't in the...

    1080i or 720p

Actually, wouldn't the receiver upconvert it to 1080i which would then be upconverted to 1080p by the television? If so, better to leave the receiver in native and let the TV do all the work.

Switched from E* to D* Yesterday...

...and so far I'm loving it. I had enough of E*'s 129 satellite constantly dropping out and with the sweet deal on NFL Sunday Ticket and HD DVR, I couldn't pass it up. My install went great (went with a local company out of Little Rock that did next-day install after placing my order on...

Is there such a thing as a "good" 622

I'm on my 6th now since March 2006, believe it or not. In order: 1) spontaneous reboots, became worse over time 2) spontaneous reboots straight out of the box 3) HDMI kicked the bucket and after several months, got a new one 4) spontaneous reboots, became worse over time to the point where that...

    Lord of the Rings trilogy....

The problem with TNT broadcasting these in HD is that the LOTR movies were filmed in anamorphic 2.35:1 aspect ratio, which TNT butchers by zooming in in order to not receive complaints about the black bars above and below the picture (to make it 16:9). It absolutely drove me nuts trying to...

    Tbs Hd Is Live!

Me too! I started a thread about this, but unfortunately doing a check switch isn't doing the trick for me: http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-hd-discussions/110061-problems-tbs-hd.html

    Problems With TBS HD

I have a 622 and am pulling in TBS HD on sat 129. For whatever reason, though, it won't tune in about half the time--I get the searching for signal error screen followed by the unable to acquire screen. The other half of the time it comes in fine. Note that I am not having any problems...

    Setanta sports on dish??

Actually, the final will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. I'm betting that FSC will air replays of it 3-5 days after, though.

    Sentanta Sports ITVN Reviews

I only have Setanta, Scott. I watched tonight's replay of the Man Utd-Charlton game and was very pleased. The PQ isn't quite up to snuff, but again, I expect that to get better over time. I'm just glad that I am not experiencing any of the buffering problems that other folks seem to be...
