The Input button on my 54.0 remote and H3 stopped working!

OK, reprogramming the TV emote selection fixed the problem. The reason I didn't try to reprogram it initially is that the TV model label has not changed in the setup so I assumed that is has not changed, I was wrong. As far as "If the remote loses pair, wouldn't EVERY button not work?" NOT...

The Input button on my 54.0 remote and H3 stopped working!

Of course I can turn on/off and change the TV volume with the remoter. I have been using Dish for years and I really know what I am doing. My only problem is that the stupid Input button doesn't work anymore! BTY, there is nothing wrong with my remote, I have the same problem with the Joey...

The Input button on my 54.0 remote and H3 stopped working!

The Input button on my 54.0 remote stopped working with my 65" Sumsung and Hopper 3. It used to work perfectly and I was able to switch the TV input. I haven not used this button in a long time so I don't know when did it stopped working. I did reboot the receiver and I verified that the...

Hopper 3 questions ... Switching back to Dish

You are right, the Limited Mode ON setting is to prevent people that dont know what they are doing from accidentally changing the TV input with their remote and then call Dish to complain that their Dish is "broken".

    Disasamblying the 54.0 remote

Wasn't easy for sure. None of the cell phone type opening tools worked and I have a all of them. Basically this remote wasn't designed to be opened, it felt like it was glued shut and that was after removing the two small Torx screws from behind the back cover. It had at least 20 of those...

    Disasamblying the 54.0 remote

I don't give up that easily, even after ordering a new remote. I did manage to force open the remote, cleaned it good with Flux Remover and let it dry. Now it works perfectly and I will have a spare.

Hopper 3 questions ... Switching back to Dish

I just checked, you cannot change inputs with voice command. Like I said, to change your input with the 54.0 remote press the TV and then the Input buttons (on the side of the remote) and you can switch any of your inputs.

Hopper 3 questions ... Switching back to Dish

I just switched from Directv and the Hopper 3 is superior to Directv, no comparison! You can switch your TV inputs with the Dish 54.0 remote, I am not sure if you can do it with voice command, I don't use any voice commands. With the 54.0 remote you can teach it and copy ANY command from your...

Pairing an old remote 21.0 with Joey 3

Well, finally I was able to pair the 21 remote but ONLY after I unpaired the original 54 remote. However on the Sys Info menu it did NOT display that the remote was paired even though it was working. Also I wasn't able to configure the TV to the remote, it says " Sorry this device is not...

Pairing an old remote 21.0 with Joey 3

The 21.0 remote was originally set to IR with the key @ "1" and it doesn't work on the Hopper 3, flipping the key to "2" and it still doesn't work.

Pairing an old remote 21.0 with Joey 3

What do you mean by "maybe it is not set on address 1"? I followed your sequence suggestion and still it doesn't work.

Pairing an old remote 21.0 with Joey 3

If it too much of a problem you don't have to answer my question. I ordered already a new remote, until I get it I am trying to watch TV!

Pairing an old remote 21.0 with Joey 3

OK, still cannot pair either a 20.0 or 21.0 remotes (worked fine several years ago) this time on my Hopper 3 which IS configured to work with also with IR remote. I go to the Sys Info menu, press the Dish button on the 2x.0 remote until all the LEDs turn on and then press the Record button...
