I have found the same thing to be true for HD, and SD programming. HD audio is much louder than SD. watching a program in SD and switching to an HD program can be jarring at times. going from HD to SD can make you think that you accidently hit the mute button.

I don't know why it came up, they weren't even discussing hd at the moment it did. the only thing i remember is that it was definitely a G4 HD logo. I recorded the chat last night, just didn't have time to review it. I guess i will have to wait until i get home tonight to scan it.

the problem I have had is that fox 40 though broadcasting in HD(it comes in, but poorly OTA) doesn't come in well at all. linked up through dish though I am sure it will be clear as a bell. all other local hd is clear on dish.
