    Verizon FIOS Update (Clearwater, FL):

Just another reason to HATE Verizon. I get those on a weekly basis too.

MRV cost $20.00 Is this true?

MRV is a nice feature but not at $20.00 per month. Here is the link to the story: Bright House serves up multi-room DVR service in Fla.

    NFL Network?

Any more news on the possible merge? Football season is almost over and it sucked to get stuck watching regular TV when I knew there was a game being shown on the NFL Network. Guess that is one victory for the wife!

    Verizon FIOS Update (Clearwater, FL):

Any idea when Verizon will resume their roll-out of FIOS in the countryside area? We live in a subdivision behind Kohls and our only choices are Brighthouse and Knology. I know folks North of Tampa Rd and South of Enterprise have access to FIOS but someone we got skipped. thanks

BHN finally completed the work on Tuesday. So far two solid day of uninterrupted internet and VOIP service. Also, for the first time in a very long time, there are no errors in the modem's error log. NICE!

Anyone else experiencing service interruptions on their internet and phone service? This has been going for some time but since this past Thursday, the frequency of the service interruptions has been increasing. Whenever a T3 time-out occurs, we loose both services. Time ID Level...

RR Lightning (40mbit / 4mbit) Coming to Central Florida this summer

I downgraded to 20mbps turbo service and everything is back to normal again. I don't have to log into my router every time the power glitches to renew it's WAN IP address. If BHN ever corrects the problem, I may upgrade to the lightning service.

RR Lightning (40mbit / 4mbit) Coming to Central Florida this summer

New problem! Every time the SMC modem/router looses power or connection with the home office, it assigns a 192.168.100.2 to my router when it first comes back on. I ALWAYS have to connect to my router to release the wan ip address and renew it. Then everything is fine until the next power...

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

I did a hard reset on my DGL-4500, restored factory defaults, re-flashed the firmware v1.15, restored factory defaults and did not upload my old config backup file. VIOLA! My download and upload speeds are back to normal. 4.3Mbps up and 39.6Mbps down. jerry PS: if someone is using the...

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

I would have to agree with Longhorn about getting the DOCIS 3.0 router by SMC switched to bridge mode. For whatever reason, this router lacks some basic features like a list of all the clients on the LAN side and the ability to program your own DNS. Granted you could walk around and touch...

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

SMCD3GN is the DOCIS 3.0 modem BHN is deploying in my area. It's a modem/router. Here are some of the features" · Internet connection to cable modem service via an integrated cable modem port · Local network connection via 4 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, 300Mbps wireless · 802.11 b/g/n -...

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

I meant BHN when I said I hope they will update their router firmware. Right now the BHN modem/router is not able to display the IP addresses of all the clients connected to the LAN ports. Hopefully, a future firmware release will allow us to see that info. jerry

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

Update: My Dlink DGL-4500 was responsible for the slower speeds. Did several tests with only my pc connected to the dgl-4500 and the dgl-4500 connected to the modem while the modem was in bridge mode. Best download speeds was 31500 Kbps and upload was 3110 Kbps. When I connected the PC...

    NEW RR Lighting 40/5 SPEED'S

That's another reason why I'm downgrading the service. It seems there is no bang for the buck.
